Under The Roof Decorating (UTR) was born out of a real-life challenge.

As an interior decorator, our Co-Founder, Liette Tousignant, found that her most challenging task was hanging artwork quickly and accurately without making mistake holes in her clients' walls. She knew that there had to be an easier way to hang pictures, but she couldn't find the right tools for the job. Liette shared her frustration with her husband Kelly Krake, and together they headed to their workshop. There they designed the first Hang & Level™, a picture hanging tool that makes hanging artwork quick, easy, and most importantly, eliminates mistake holes.
